Calamity Days

Good evening BLS parents!  With snow in the forecast it possible your children are wanting to put on backward pajamas  and hide spoons under pillows as they drift off to dream about a snow day. On nights like tonight,  they want to wake up to a  delay or cancelation in the morning!

As the children get ready for bed,  we want to remind you where to look for potential delays/cancelations in the morning.

When the decision to delay or close school is made, we use multiple avenues to communicate. As technology is not always fool-proof, we rely on several messaging channels to alert the community of a delay or cancellation. Those channels include:  notifying the following television stations (Channel 2, Channel 7, Channel 22 and Channel 45), posting on Twitter (@Firks_Justin),  BLS Facebook, updating the website (www.bethelk12.org) and receiving notifications from our District App.

In addition, we will continue to utilize the One Call Now Messaging System to communicate with district residents, parents and students as well.

Beginning January 2021 we will be sending text notifications to parents/guardians with school delays/cancelations.   To be certain you receive these notifications (beginning in January), please sign into Final Forms and make sure parent/guardian cell phone numbers are  accurate and up-to-date.

Have a great night!
