Bethel Local Schools - Educate with Excellence

Bethel Local Schools recently wrote and received a grant from the 2nd & 7 Foundation. The program started in 1999 by former Ohio State Buckeye football players- Ryan Miller, Luke Fickell and Mike Vrabel. The ‘tackling literacy’ program encourages student-athletes to participate in monthly readings in second grade classrooms. 147 second grade students received a FREE book today from the Hog Mollies series that teaches such valuable life lessons such as: respect, patience, kindness, tolerance, hard work, overcoming adversity and the importance of reading. Thanks to the Bethel HS student-athletes and all of the administrators that read and visited Bethel Elementary today. By the end of the program, each Bethel second grade student will have received 6 FREE books! #BethelLegacy #OneBethel
