REMINDER: NO SCHOOL TOMORROW
Just a reminder! The Father Daughter Dance is Friday April 2 from 5-7 PM for girls K-5. Please purchase your tickets prior to the event. They are available on the Bethel website under Student Activities. The dance will include princess bingo, princess stories, refreshments, pictures, crown-crafting, dancing and photos with your favorite Disney Princesses! On Friday morning there will be a "Little Bee Boutique" for the girls to get their hair and nails done! To sign up see the link below! Bring cash for pictures and Boutique! Masks are required! Essay questions and 2 letters of recommendation required. All applications will be reviewed and recipients notified of acceptance in the program by June 1. Only 10 applicants will be selected for the program.
Each day will consist of travel to different sites around the Tipp City & Troy area. Most days require personal car transportation (student or parent), and other days we will have a van providing transportation.
Experiences include*:
Extensive team building and leadership opportunities with their peers and business leaders.
Philanthropic immersion with Tipp City Foundation and United Way of Miami County
Students will not only learn about local social challenges, but also make the decision to distribute grant funding toward specific projects that will be facilitated by local non-profits - Project T.I.P.P is Teens Impacting & Promoting Philanthropy
Poverty simulation
Hands-on community service projects
A mock City Council meeting and round table conversations with Tipp City Mayor and City Manager
Tours of city buildings and departments to get a in-depth view of what the city handles
Bethel Township insider information with the administrator and Township Trustee
Inside our Miami County healthcare system including Upper Valley Medical Center
Exclusive tours of Tipp City manufacturing, engineering and technology facilities
Job Shadowing in the students specific area of interest
Mock trial and live court proceedings at the Miami County courthouse with the magistrate
Amazing race style scavenger hunt to test history and community knowledge
