BETHEL BASEBALL 3-PEATS!
With today's 2-1 win over Lehman Catholic at Frosty Brown Field, your 2025 Bethel Bees Baseball team are TRC CHAMPIONS!
This marks the 3rd straight title for the Bees who also won in 2024 with an undefeated conference campaign and their first conference title in 23 years in 2023!
Coach Goulette, who went 1-22 in his first season with the Bees (2019) has turned the Bees into perennial conference contenders as he continues to build a championship program! Congratulations to him, his staff and especially the boys who put in the work, respond positively to challenges both internal and external, and deliver high level outcomes!


Bethel’s Distance Queen Reigns Supreme!
At last night's Kettering Fairmont Firebird Invitational, Freshman phenom Olivia Brumbaugh continued to rewrite the record books—9 school records and counting!
Olivia smashed the 2-Mile record by over 20 seconds! From middle school to high school, track to cross country, Olivia owns virtually EVERY distance event at Bethel.
Her empire includes:
MS Cross Country: 2 Mile
MS Track: 800m, 1600m
HS Cross Country: 5K
HS Track: 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 2000m Steeplechase
And while it is not considered a distance event, she also holds the middle school 400m record as well!

Bethel athletes continue to raise the bar year after year! This years graduating class of 2025 has a record number of athletes going on to play sports in college. With this class of 12 student-athletes, it takes our total at Bethel over the past 5 years to 37!

Muskaan Sandhu was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Bee HOPE, and played Volleyball while at Bethel! After graduating, Muskaan plans to attend Harvard College for Economics and Government before attending Harvard Law.

The Graduation Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2025 will be held at Hobart Arena on Sunday, May 18th, at 5pm. Hobart Arena is located at 255 Adams Street, Troy, OH 45373, and the doors will open at 4pm. No tickets are required for entrance, and seating will be first come, first served.

Layla Norris was a member of the Musical Stage Crew, the Thespian Honors Society, and the National Honors Society, in addition to writing the newspaper and being Class Vice President during her time at Bethel! After graduating, Layla plans to attend Miami University to study Political Science on the Pre-Law track.

ANOTHER NEW SCHOOL RECORD!
In last Monday's Intersquad Senior Night Meet at Bethel's ConSeal Track, Junior, Alyssa Avey broke the Pole Vault record! Set in 2023 by Sara Newton and tied by Alyssa last year at 8' 6", she is now in sole possession of the pole vault record with a vault of 8' 8"! Congratulations Alyssa!
That brings the total record smashing to 5 in Track this season! Bethel Track is gaining steam and starting to compete at a high level! More records are bound to fall, even some this season yet!

DID YOU KNOW?
4-time State Champion, Dan Zoeller, holds the 2 oldest track records at Bethel dating back to 1969! One of those records is the 880yd (800M) at 1:55.03.
FUN FACT!
Junior Kade Schwiekhardt is only .30 seconds away from breaking that record after running a PR of 1:55.33 at the Wayne Invitational. Look out! History may be rewritten soon!


NEW SCHOOL RECORDS!
This past weekend, two of our Bethel Track Athletes set NEW SCHOOL RECORDS at the Wayne Invitational!
Senior, Remi Brannan, became the sole owner of the Shot Put Record which he tied a few meets ago to sit even with 79' Bethel Grad, Steve Pytel, at 48' 10.5". The NEW RECORD is now 49' 4.5"! Congratulations, Remi, and best of luck as you finish out your HS career!
Freshman, Olivia Brumbaugh, set not 1... but 2 NEW RECORDS! The freshman phenom now owns a total of 4 school records going back to Cross Country Season! On Friday night, she broke both the 800M Run (2:27.68) AND the 1600M Run (5:22.94). Those get added to her growing list of records along with the 2000M Steeple Chase (8:36.78) and the 5K Cross Country (19:47.78). What an incredible freshman season and start to her HS career! Congratulations, Olivia, and we are so excited to see what record you set next!







Attention Parents: Bethel High School and Middle School will have a remote learning day on tomorrow, May 6th, due to election polling!
Students will stay home and will have an assignment for each class. Assignments will be given the preceding day or may be posted on Google Classroom. Teachers will be available during school hours to answer questions via email.
Buses will run from Bethel to the MVCTC; however, students who attend the CTC will be responsible for their transportation to and from Bethel.
Elementary students will be unimpacted by the election polling and will report as scheduled.
