My favorite part of what I do for a living is getting to share the same mission as my colleagues, which is to love kids and give them opportunities to succeed and self-improve! When you're not serving at school, what do you enjoy doing? When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband. I also love to visit family in Kentucky, relax with friends, travel, listen to podcasts, drink coffee, and write for a Dayton Mom blog. What are you most looking forward to about serving at Bethel? I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of school life, meeting great people, having conversations about curriculum and literacy, observe great instruction, and be around kids who have all kinds of energy to learn! What makes BLS a great place to work--what makes us stand out from other places of employment? In the short time, I have been at BLS, everyone that I have had a chance to meet and talk to has been incredibly kind and welcoming. If there is anything else you'd like the community to know about you, please share. I am proudly from the Southeastern Appalachian region of Kentucky, so the mountains are always calling me home! The University of Kentucky Wildcats will always have my heart, but I am growing to love Ohio sports too!

Let’s get to know our newest member: Keelie King What College or University did you attend? This will be my 13th year of teaching and I cannot wait to begin my next adventure at Bethel Elementary. I received my Bachelors of Science at Indiana University. I began my teaching career in Brownsburg, Indiana until our recent relocation to Troy, Ohio. During my past teaching experiences, I have been blessed to teach Kindergarten, First, Second, Third and Fourth Grades. It is exciting to be back in First Grade again. What's your favorite part of what you get to do for a living? My favorite part of being an elementary teacher is being able to do what I love every day! With encouragement, inspiration, and love I get to see my students grow into confident, lifelong learners. I am blessed to see their smiles and hear their excitement each day when they learn something new. Being a teacher allows me to make a difference in my students and help them see their potential as good citizens in our world. When you're not serving at school, what do you enjoy doing? When I am not in the classroom, I am reading, going on hikes, and spending time with my family. What are you most looking forward to about serving at Bethel? This new adventure at Bethel is one I am so excited for. I cannot wait to meet all of my new students, their families, and to work with the amazing staff at Bethel. What makes BLS a great place to work--what makes us stand out from other places of employment? Bethel stands out because the teachers and staff are amazing. Let’s get to know our newest member: Morgan Rench What College or University did you attend? I went to Wright State University and got my bachelors degree in Early Childhood. I student taught at Concord Elementary in Troy. I worked in Dayton Public for a little bit in a 1st grade classroom. I did 2 long term sun positions in a 2nd grade and kindergarten in Troy City Schools. The past 2 years I have worked at Nevin Coppock Elementary as the title 1 reading teacher for kindergarten and first grade. What's your favorite part of what you get to do for a living? I love being able to watch my students grow in so many ways. There is no better thing than seeing the lightbulb go off inside a child's head. When you're not serving at school, what do you enjoy doing? I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and boyfriend. I love working outside in my flower beds as well as tending to my house plants. I love reading. I love spending time with my golden retriever Diesel. What are you most looking forward to about serving at Bethel? I am so excited to be able to serve along side such amazing and welcoming teachers. I can not wait to meet all my little kindergarten's and be able to grow along side them this year. I am so excited to join the Bethel Family. #BethelLegacy

Let’s get to know our newest member: Scott Mintz What College or University did you attend? I went to and graduated from Dixie. I then went to Sinclair then transferred to Wright State where I finished my Bachelor Degree in K - 12 Health and Physical Education. I taught elementary Physical Education last year at Dixie and now I am here at Bethel am very excited to start my new journey! What's your favorite part of what you get to do for a living? I love 3 things about my job. I love working with children, I love being in the school atmosphere, and I love being around sports and physical activity! When you're not serving at school, what do you enjoy doing? I enjoy anything outside, fishing, golfing and spending time with friends and family. If you start in the fall-- What are you most looking forward to about serving at Bethel? I have never worked with the middle school age group so I am looking forward to serving as the middle school PE teacher and giving the students the opportunity to try many different games, activities and sports that hopefully they haven't got to try before! If there is anything else you'd like the community to know about you, please share. Just that I am very excited about starting my career as a Bethel Bee! #BethelLegacy
